JFK HEARSE

Novembr 25th, 1963 America buried a President.

The world's super power lost an icon of a free nation
with no fear or worries.

Terror struck down the people's president,
along with the dreams of Camelot.

No United States President has been loved as much
as John F. Kennedy and a piece of America
was lost forever on the grassy knoll of Dallas, Texas.

Nearly 1 Million people came to see the end of a legacy,
the end of simple pleasure,
the end of undeniable trust in everyone
and belief in goodness of all mankind.

America lost its Hero and its childhood.

One of 15 made for the US Government
and issued number 49-4596

This 1963 Pontiac Superior Government Issue
Navy Ambulance recieved an ornate bronze casket
holding the remains of a nation's hope.

The Kennedy family ordered the Ambulance to be destroyed
in order to keep it from being collected at a later date
 by assassination collectors.

Although the 1964 M/M Cadillac hearse owned by the O'Neal funeral home still exists and has been completely restored to original.

Recent auction brought a price tag of $900,000.00
with reserve not met.

This is the hearse that drove JFK for a 3 mile drive from
Parkland Memorial Hospital to Dallas Love Field. What stories this vehicle could tell and the history it holds.
